By the end of the week, exhumations will be done at 22 locations in
Sisak-Moslavina County, 17 locations around Glina, four sites in
the Petrinja area and one in Novska, the government office head,
Ivan Grujic, said Tuesday.
The office received information about the graves from Serb
returnees who called a free of charge telephone set up for this
purpose, Grujic said. He added that appeals for cooperation in
shedding light on the whereabouts of missing people were yielding
the first results in the Sisak-Moslavina region.
The government's office is still searching for 1,282 people, of
whom 292 went missing in Sisak-Moslavina County.
So far the office has exhumed the remain of 3,377 persons, of whom
2,799 have been identified.
