drastic increase in the number of persons addicted to heavy drugs.

The Office cited data by the Croatian Public Health Institute about
an increased number of people who in the past several years
underwent treatment for addiction to pshycho-active drugs.
However, an analysis showed that the amount of narcotics did not
increase and that the number of addicts has stabilised, the
statement said.
