THE HAGUE, March 31 (Hina) - The Hague-based war crimes tribunal on Monday sentenced Bosnian Croats Mladen Naletilic Tuta to 20 and Vinko Martinovic Stela to 18 years in prison for crimes committed in the Mostar and Jablanica regions
in 1993.
THE HAGUE, March 31 (Hina) - The Hague-based war crimes tribunal on
Monday sentenced Bosnian Croats Mladen Naletilic Tuta to 20 and
Vinko Martinovic Stela to 18 years in prison for crimes committed in
the Mostar and Jablanica regions in 1993. #L#
Both were found guilty, on the basis of individual and command
responsibility, of war crimes committed against Bosnian Muslim
soldiers and civilians in the Mostar area.
Naletilic was at the time commander of the so-called Convicts
Battalion, and Martinovic commanded the "Vinko Skrobo" counter-
terrorist unit within the battalion.
