BELGRADE, March 24 (Hina) - A total of 395 charges were pressed against 262 members of various criminal groups based on evidence collected by the police after the assassination of Serbian Premier Zoran Djindjic, said the head of the Serbian parliament's defence and security committee, Dragan Sutanovac. #L# A total of 1,031 persons are in police custody, Sutanovac said, adding that all involved in the assassination as well as those who committed other criminal acts would be prosecuted. The parliamentary committee has decided to set up a commission to study statements by some parties before and after Djindjic's murder. The president of Vojvodina's parliament and leader of the Vojvodina League of Social-Democrats, Nenad Canak, recently proposed banning the Serbian Radical Party. (hina) rml sb
