Seeing that military action has commenced the Montenegrin foreign
ministry hopes that the amount of force used will be appropriate to
the declared political aims and that all efforts will be taken to
avoid civilian victims, Burzan told the press in Podgorica.
The chief of Montenegro's diplomacy expects that the war will not
last too long and that the international community will contribute
to the speedy reconstruction of Iraq.
"We expect the United Nations to take an active role in the post-war
reconstruction of the Iraqi society and its democratic
institutions and that territorial integrity of Iraq will be
guaranteed," he said.
