ZAGREB, March 20 (Hina) - The Croatian foreign ministry set up a telephone line on Thursday, after the start of the U.S. intervention against Iraq, for information about Croatian citizens residing in countries of the Middle East, the
ministry reported.

Zagreb is in constant contact with Croatian diplomatic and consular
representatives in Middle East countries, says the ministry.
Croatian embassies and consulates in Tel Aviv, Teheran and Cairo
are functioning, says the ministry and explained that some staff
together with their families have been withdrawn from Israel and
Iran.
The embassy in Cairo is working with all the staff present, says the
ministry.
