The institute's director, Olivier Brochet, said that the
programmes in the Croatian cities would focus on the "Francophone
Day", which is marked on March 20.
Recalling that the Francophone week would be organised in Croatia
for the second time in cooperation with the embassies of
Francophone countries in Zagreb, Brochet said that Croatian Radio
and Television (HRT) would join in the organisation of the events
this time.
From 8 to 11 pm on International Francophone Day the third HRT
channel would broadcast programmes dedicated to Francophone
culture.
The week of Francophone culture will be officially opened on 18
March with a concert by mezzo-soprano France Duval, baritone Bruno
Laplante, and pianist Christophe Maynard at the Zagreb-based music
institute.
