ZAGREB, March 12 (Hina) - The Social Democratic Party of Croatia
(SDP) on Wednesday most sharply condemned the assassination of
Serbia's Premier Zoran Djindjic. #L#
"The assassination of Premier Zoran Djindjic is an act of political
violence," the party said in a statement, warning that the act "has
shaken stability in Southeast Europe".
The SDP supports good neighbourly co-operation and welcomes any
contribution to the strengthening of the democratic order in Serbia
in the future, the statement said.
The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) condemned the murder as well.
"The HDZ strongly condemns such barbaric, terrorist acts,
regardless of where they occur. We live in a time when the world is
particularly sensitive to terrorism. As part of the anti-terrorist
coalition to which Croatia belongs, the HDZ resolutely supports
democracy and stability in all parts of the world," the party said.
