The sentence was passed after hours of interrogation, Serb sources
in Bujanovac said.
According to them, a large quantity of automatic weapons,
ammunition, and liaison and military equipment was seized during
searches of Kosovo Albanians' houses.
Serb troops arrested 12 people, of whom five were released after
being interviewed due to lack of evidence.
Thousands of Albanians protested in front the Bujanovac municipal
hall last night, seeking that the arrested be let go.
The situation in Bujanovac today was reportedly calm but tense.
Police patrols were stepped up.
After yesterday's protest blockade, traffic along the Bujanovac-
Konculj-Gnjilane road today was back to normal.
