SINJ/HRVACE, Feb 28 (Hina) - The Swiss government approved a new donation of 990 thousand kuna (approx. 13 thousand euros) to finance the mine clearance of about 100 thousand square metres of forest land near Potravlje in the Hrvace
Municipality.
SINJ/HRVACE, Feb 28 (Hina) - The Swiss government approved a new
donation of 990 thousand kuna (approx. 13 thousand euros) to
finance the mine clearance of about 100 thousand square metres of
forest land near Potravlje in the Hrvace Municipality. #L#
Swiss Ambassador Paul Widemer, who visited Hrvace on Friday for
this reason, met with Mayor Dinko Bosnjak who informed his guest of
the current activities in mine clearance and reconstruction.
The Swiss government granted a donation for the start of
reconstruction in Hrvace. The donation of 40 million kuna (5.26
million euros) was used to reconstruct 317 family homes as well as
the construction of a new elementary school. The donation was used
to donate several tractors and other agricultural equipment and
machinery too to this war-hit area.
Ambassador Widemer expressed his satisfaction with the results
seen so far adding that his government approved 1.5 million euros
for mine clearance in four Croatian counties, including Split-
Dalmatia County.
