Addressing reporters, Ambassador Lawrence Rossin and Prefect Ivan
Jakovcic said they had not talked about the American policy and a
possible attack against Iraq.
Asked by reporters about possible reactions in Washington if
Croatia annulled its signature on the Vilnius Group's statement,
the American ambassador replied that his country had no indications
that Croatia might take such a "pathetic" step and he did not
believe that anything like it might happen.
Rossin added that the U.S. Embassy in Zagreb would continue
supporting the economy and offering financial assistance to non-
governmental organisations in a bid to help cut unemployment and
drug abuse and give assistance to disabled persons.
