Addressing reporters after a tour of local historical buildings,
von Hapsburg reiterated that Croatia should have submitted its
application for membership in the European Union much sooner,
voicing concern that the deadline for joining the EU by 2007 was too
short.
Before departing for Hungary, Hapsburg and his wife Regina toured
the Ilok wine cellar in the company of county and municipal
officials.
The announced meeting between von Hapsburg and Parliament
President Zlatko Tomcic was cancelled due to Tomcic's busy
schedule.
