The last such meeting was held in Sarajevo in October 2002.
The two organisations released a joint statement in which they
stressed the significance of speeding up the return of refugees and
displaced persons to their homes.
They particularly warned about the need to respect the right to
property repossession, regulate the status of former owners whose
homes are occupied, and create an atmosphere which would facilitate
the return of displaced persons.
