"We will offer all possible guarantees to international
institutions so that the trial could resume in Kosovo," parliament
president Nexhat Daci said. The Kosovo premier shares his
standpoint.
The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia
(ICTY) has indicted the four Kosovo Albanians for war crimes
against Serb and Albanian civilians in Kosovo. Three indictees were
arrested in Kosovo on Tuesday, while the fourth man, Fatmir Limaj,
said he would turn himself in to the Hague tribunal.
Kosovo media reported yesterday that Limaj had turned himself in to
police in Austria. Limaj, the head of the parliamentary Kosovo
Democratic Party, was arrested last night in Slovenia's Kranjska
Gora. He was taken before a court in Kranj. He is currently in
detention pending extradition.
