PAL, short for Programatic Adjustment Loan, is one of several World
Bank strategic assistance programmes. It includes three loan
series and would cover a period of three to four years.
The programme should improve coordination in the implementation of
reforms and serve as support in their realisation, the government
said in a statement.
Granic told Martinez the government's priority at the moment was
reforming the systems of higher education, state administration
and justice.
Martinez said the World Bank was willing to help the Croatian
government build an efficient state administration through
concrete assistance programmes.
