"We supported what is said in the government's statement about the
Iraqi crisis."
Speaking at a joint news conference with Austrian Chancellor
Wolfgang Schuessel, Racan said: "Croatia prefers resolving the
Iraqi crisis through political means and advocates that the
differences within the EU and NATO regarding the Iraqi crisis be
overcome as soon as possible as it is in the interest of combating
terrorism, as well as important for European integration
processes".
Racan is on a one-day visit to Austria where he met with President
Thomas Klestil and Schuessel.
