SISAK, Feb 13 (Hina) - A co-ordinating body of unions working to keep the Sisak Ironworks functioning is satisfied with today's government decision on the fate of the plant, a representative of the body and of the Croatian Metallurgy
Workers' Union, Ivica Kenda, said on Thursday.

government decision on the fate of the plant, a representative of

In a statement to Hina on behalf of the body, Kenda "applauded and
commended the government's engagement in resolving all contentious
issues regarding the sale of the ironworks," assessing that "the
government's involvement and its decision of today will
consolidate the position and security of workers in case the plant
stops functioning by decision of the buyer, 'Conares Trading AG"
and Russia's 'Mechel", which is what the co-ordinating body
asked."
