ZAGREB, Feb 13 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula and the chairman of the Iranian parliamentary foreign affairs committee, Moshen Mirdamadi, met in Zagreb on Thursday to discuss political and economic relations between
the two countries, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
ZAGREB, Feb 13 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula and
the chairman of the Iranian parliamentary foreign affairs
committee, Moshen Mirdamadi, met in Zagreb on Thursday to discuss
political and economic relations between the two countries, the
Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. #L#
Picula and Mirdamadi emphasised the two countries' good political
relations, but added that economic cooperation needed to be
advanced. Picula informed his guest of a government intention to
appoint a new ambassador to Iran as soon as possible. Picula salo
said he planned to visit Iran in the near future.
Mirdamadi said the Iran's delegation visited Croatia with an aim to
promote relations with the Croatian parliament, the statement
said.
The two officials also exchanged opinions on the Iraqi crisis. Both
countries share concern with the development of the situation in
Iraq and its effect on international relations, the ministry said.
