Libra welcomes talks between the Social Democrats and the Croatian
Peasants' Party so that they could settle their bilateral
relations, but it believes that final decisions should be made by
all coalition partners, Rados told reporters.
Speaking about the privatisation of the Suncani Hvar hotel company,
Rados said that the annulment of the tender and the contract on the
sale of the company had caused damage to Suncani Hvar, the town of
Hvar and Croatia's reputation.
Libra supports debates on Suncani Hvar but it believes that
everything is clear with regard to facts, and that those who did not
work well should be sanctioned.
Rados described the sale of Sisak Ironworks as a case of "shotgun
privatisation".
There is no need to speak about President Mesic's role in the deal,
because it is clear. The government has again been presented with an
accomplished fact and used as a cover for somebody's ambitions, to
the detriment of tax-payers, Rados said, calling on the government
not to yield to such a policy.
Asked whether Libra would insist on establishing the
responsibility of President Mesic because he lied about not having
signed a protocol on the sale of the ironworks, a Vice-Premier and
member of the party's Main Committee, Goran Granic, said it would
not.
