ZAGREB, Feb 5 (Hina) - A total of 139,314 farms have been entered into the agricultural register, which is an exceptional success, Croatian Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bozidar Pankretic told the press Wednesday.

All those who have registered their farms, i.e. those who intend to
sell their products on the market, will receive certificates and be
able to seek government subsidies and various forms of assistance.
The Agriculture Ministry is satisfied with the large number of
farmers who have registered. A significant number of agricultural
producers -- mostly with smaller resources -- did not register
independently, but through co-operatives or other physical
persons.
It is, therefore, estimated that some 300,000 farmers have been
entered into the register.
