"We want our Alka duke, General Mirko Norac, to know that we are
expecting him at the next assembly of the Alka Knights Society on
May 26, which is when preparations for this year's 288th Sinj Alka
tournament will begin," the Sinj mayor and head of the Society, Mate
Jukic, said.
The concert gathered more than 10,000 people, including the leaders
of Split-Dalmatia County, neighbouring towns, war veterans'
associations, army and police members and church dignitaries. The
event was organised by towns and municipalities from the Cetina
region, local war veterans' associations and the Alka Knights
Society.
