Thompson's concert in a town near Stuttgart, as well as a recent attack at "Globus" weekly reporter Mark Cigoj in Zagreb.
ZAGREB, Jan 2 (Hina) - The Croatian Journalists' Society (HND)
condemns physical assaults on a reporter of the "Arena" weekly,
Romana Bilesic, and a "Jutarnji list" daily photographer, Marin
Vajdic, at Croatian singer Marko Perkovic Thompson's concert in a
town near Stuttgart, as well as a recent attack at "Globus" weekly
reporter Mark Cigoj in Zagreb. #L#
Verbal threats and physical assaults against Croatian reporters
are a dangerous attack on media freedom and the freedoms of
reporting and expression, the HND said in a statement signed by
president Dragutin Lucic.
The HND will inform the German journalists' society about the
attacks on the reporter and the photographer at the concert near
Stuttgart, and will request the German police to conduct an
expedient and efficient investigation.
