The association was established at the Zagreb Faculty of Economy
and its goals also include promoting the activities of College of
Europe -- in Belgium's Bruges and Poland's Natolin -- and improving
ties and cooperation among similar associations worldwide.
The Croatian association has about 30 members, while the College
has such associations in about 100 countries with some 7,000
members.
The founding assembly of the Croatian branch adopted a statute and
elected the leadership -- president Andrej Bolfek of the World
Bank, and vice-presidents Petra Goran of the European Integration
Ministry and Branislav Bibic of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation.
Desa Mlikotin-Tomic, vice-dean at Zagreb's Faculty of Economy, was
elected honourary president. The association is seated at the
Institute for International Relations.
