The delegation included chief economist Maria Vaglisasindi,
political advisor Christopher Cviich, and the EBRD head in Zagreb,
Andrew Krapotkin, the Croatian government said in a statement.
Granic said the government would continue implementing reforms
this year -- of the military, police, labour legislation, higher
education and science -- as well as with preparations for a reform
of the state administration.
Talks focused on changes to the Labour Act.
Granic briefed the EBRD officials with a plan for the privatisation
of the power supply sector which should be completed by the end of
June. He said the restructuring and stabilisation of the power
company HEP would be completed this year, with privatisation
possible no earlier than 2004.
Asked about cooperation with the U.N. war crimes tribunal in The
Hague, Granic said Croatia was complying fully with the court's
demands. He also provided additional information about retired
general Janko Bobetko, saying the tribunal would rule on his
extradition based on the findings of the court's doctors.
Krapotkin presented data on EBRD projects in Croatia and announced
a series of projects for this year.
