The negotiations should end on January 30 and are aimed at jointly
establishing the real amount of the Soviet clearing debt towards
the former Yugoslavia and how this amount would be divided among the
successor countries.
Russia claims the debt amounts to around US$1.2 billion, while the
successor countries say Russia owes around US$1.6 billion.
Croatia's delegation to the negotiations in Moscow will be led by
the head of the government's office for succession, Bozo Marendic.
According to an earlier agreement, Croatia should receive around 24
percent of the overall clearing debt of the Russian Federation's
debt towards the former Yugoslavia.
