"The medical documentation was inspected this morning. After that,
retired general Janko Bobetko was examined," said the head of
Bobetko's medical team, Mijo Bergovec.
"The medical documentation was presented, as was his case history
and all relevant findings and documents," said Bergovec.
"After that, we examined the patient together. General Bobetko
allowed to be examined and the examination was carried out," said
Bergovec, adding that the general also had a heart ultrasound scan
in the presence of the six-member team.
An assistant to the hospital head, Marko Banic, said that Bobetko
took the examination well.
Bobetko, who has been indicted by the UN tribunal for crimes
committed in the 1993 Medak Pocket operation, was examined by
internist E. J. Van Lieshaut and cardiologist R. Tukkie of
Amsterdam's Academic Medical Centre. The two doctors did not want
to make any statements after the examination.
