"Although we did not speak about the issue, I think that Bobetko has
a positive stance and will allow himself to be examined, becuase
this is a normal course of events," Sanader said after visiting
General Bobetko in a Zagreb hospital on the general's 84th
birthday. Sanader was accompanied by several senior officials of
the HDZ.
"General Bobetko is very interested in the course of the party's
preparations for elections. Although he is not in good health, he is
of sound mind and is following current events," Sanader said.
