The Croatian government and Blaskic's defence team have been
notified about the health condition of this Bosnian Croat general,
the daily added.
Blaskic has been kept in custody of the International Criminal
Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia since 1996.
According to a source who spoke to Hina on condition of anonymity,
on Wednesday Blaskic was transferred to a hospital, but he was
driven back to the detention centre the same day. The findings of
his medical examination are expected on Monday, the same source
said.
The Vjesnik daily speculates that Blaskic has fallen ill due to
stress to which he has been exposed for some time because of many
controversies, secrets and politically-motivated events
surrounding his trial.
