ZAGREB, Jan 10 (Hina) - At the beginning of 2003, the Croatian Telecom's (HT) mobile communications sector was transformed into a separate company under the name HT Mobile Communications Ltd., which will operate on the market under
the name HTmobile. The company will include HT's mobile telephony networks Cronet, Simpa and Mobitel.
ZAGREB, Jan 10 (Hina) - At the beginning of 2003, the Croatian
Telecom's (HT) mobile communications sector was transformed into a
separate company under the name HT Mobile Communications Ltd.,
which will operate on the market under the name HTmobile. The
company will include HT's mobile telephony networks Cronet, Simpa
and Mobitel. #L#
The new company, which is owned entirely by HT, was presented at a
news conference on Friday by HT director Ivica Mudrinic, who said
the company would compete for an UMTS licence (the third generation
of mobile telephony) once the Croatian government invited bids.
The head of HTmobile's management board, Wolfgang Breuer, said the
company employed 950 workers.
A member of the management board and executive director, Kent
Hoding, stressed the financial stability of the new company, which
he said had a capital of almost two billion kuna and 1.2 million
users.
The new company is located in Zagreb's Vukovarska Street.
