Everyone in Kosovo has to work towards a prompt integration into
Euro-Atlantic structures and contribute to the establishment of
peace and stability in the region, said Daci.
Speaking about possible dialogue with Belgrade, he said all Kosovo
institutions were adamant there would be no talks with Belgrade
without the presence of international officials and the decisive
participation of the United States as the initiator of talks.
Daci said 2003 would be decisive for the determination of Kosovo's
future. The standards set by the local U.N. civil administrator,
Michael Steiner, are good for Kosovo and do not hamper the reaching
of a final solution for Kosovo, he said.
"The one-year work of the Kosovo parliament has been very
successful as all bodies have been constituted and the Kosovo
government elected. Parliament continues to work normally as every
parliament in any democratic state. Parliament's decisions reflect
the will of all Kosovo citizens and there is no ethnic outvoting (in
parliament)," Daci said in the interview.
He commended the cooperation with local international structures -
- the U.N. Mission and the Kosovo Force peacekeepers.
