"President Mesic said yesterday that he would bring capital and new technologies to Croatia, and in the last five years he has brought the Russian company Mechel, which ruined the Sisak Ironworks, and Druzba Adria, which is an economic and environmental fiasco," Miksic said at a press conference in the nearby city of Osijek.
Miksic said that the Druzba Adria project would be the first agreement he would terminate when he becomes president, because he believes that Croatia needs a clean environment and an environmentally-friendly industry.
"If I become president, I will restore the pride and dignity of Croatian people and make it possible for them to make their dreams come true in Croatia. Today's politicians are leading Croatia to ruin because they have not earned a penny by the sweat of their brow, and they are spending billions, while we entrepreneurs know how to create value," Miksic said.
