followers greetings from fugitiveGeneral Ante Gotovina, who is wanted by the Hague war crimestribunal.
ZAGREB, Dec 22 (Hina) - Independent presidential candidate Ljubo
Cesic Rojs was interviewed by the police in Zagreb on Wednesday in connection
with statements he had recently made at his election rallies, where he relayed
to his followers greetings from fugitive General Ante Gotovina, who is wanted
by the Hague war crimes tribunal.Cesic told the police that he was in contact with Ante Gotovina almost
every day, that he knew where Gotovina was and that he was well, but then
explained that he meant the general's son, whose name is also Ante, the
Interior Ministry said in a statement.
Asked about General Gotovina's whereabouts, Cesic said he did not know
where the runaway general was, adding that he was not in contact with him.
The interview lasted for about an hour and took place at Cesic's
proposal in his election headquarters, the statement said.
