A stable exchange rate, increased market competition, primarily in the commercial and financial sectors, and a modest growth of salaries should contribute the most to maintaining macroeconomic stability.

The HNB Council also discussed the latest economic and monetary trends as well as the situation in the banking system in the third quarter and adopted a monetary projection and a financial plan for next year.
