The State Election Commission has decided that Keser's objections to his being denied the right to equal treatment by the media are justified. Keser is dissatisfied with the unequal coverage of presidential candidates by Vecernji List daily, which he said in a special supplement published interviews with only some presidential candidates.
Keser is a young mayor of the municipality of Kalnik, he owns a family farm and describes himself as a man who will decisively and quickly achieve minimum welfare for all citizens as well as economic competitiveness.
He also advocates postponing Croatia's admission to the European Union until the country is fully prepared and receives a partnership invitation. Keser believes that Croatia's national values and advantages in relation to EU countries should be protected, farmers and business people be treated equally as EU business people, and that imports of food products which can be produced in Croatia should be banned.
He urged the government to change the Stabilisation and Association Agreement due to the failure to meet deadlines from the Agreement and the danger of losing national identity.
The election headquarters of Croatian Bloc (HB) presidential candidate Ivic Pasalic too has objected to what it has called the unequal media treatment of presidential candidates. The party has stated that the unequal treatment of the candidates has been reported by the civil election monitoring association GONG.
