People's Party (HNS) leader Vesna Pusic told the press on Wednesday she heard today that Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) leader Sanader was considering launching an initiative against all commissions of inquiry whose setting up was in parliamentary procedure.
Pusic said the HNS/PGS deputies' club would not scrap its initiative to set up a commission to investigate Sanader and Zuzul unless the HDZ consented to transferring the probes to the aforementioned bodies.
She recalled the HNS/PGS club forwarded a motion into Parliament two days ago to investigate Sanader and Zuzul after the HDZ initiated setting up a commission to probe Tomcic and HNS member Cacic. She said the HNS/PGS club was in favour of setting up the latter commission which would establish facts and put an end to false accusations and insinuations, notably about Cacic.
Club chairman Dragutin Lesar said the Croatian public was tired of political accusations being made before elections without even one fact having been established.
He urged the HDZ to convene a meeting as soon as possible to discuss if the initiatives for the two commissions would be scrapped.
