The two countries will continue to develop regional cooperation and cooperation among parliamentary committees.
A meeting of 25 EU parliament speakers will be held in Budapest in May 2005 and Szili, as a vice-chairman of the meeting, invited the Croatian parliament speaker to attend the event.
Hungary supports Croatia on its path to the EU, Szili said and added that both countries wanted to see Osijek, along with Pecs, become a city of protected world heritage.
"It is in Hungary's interest that Croatia joins the EU as soon as possible," Szili said.
Seks thanked the Hungarian official for her efforts to help Croatia become an EU candidate.
After the talks, the two officials visited the Hungarian Education and Culture Centre in Osijek.
Szili also met representatives of the Hungarian community in Croatia.
