The Croatian edition, which was published by the UNHCR and the Inter-parliamentary Union, was presented by UNHCR representative to Croatia Catherine Bertrand.
During the round-table discussion in Zagreb, Sabor Speaker Vladimir Seks said that Croatia had a clear position on the problems of the protection of refugees' rights and that it treated the issue primarily from the aspect of protection of human rights as well as from the aspects of legal and moral obligations towards its citizens.
He reiterated that the issue of return of refugees and property restitution "is no longer a political but a financial and technical issue".
The event also pooled the head of the OSCE mission to Croatia, Peter Semneby, diplomats, MPs and representatives of nongovernmental organisations.
