The two representatives thanked President Mesic for everything he had done in his first term as president to improve the position of minorities and help make citizens aware of the importance of the relationship to minorities.
During their regular meeting with the president, Tolnauer and Tatalovic informed Mesic about their activities in the past few months and problems. Apart from refugee return and reconstruction, an important problem is the fact that institutions, from the local to state level, have not been prepared for the implementation of the Constitutional Law on the Protection of Minorities, they said.
The two representatives described their cooperation with the OSCE as very good.
