"Yasser Arafat was the unassailable leader of his people, and now everyone is waiting to see what will happen next," Zuzul told Hina.
"In the next 60 days the Palestinians must elect a new president, and the continuation of peace negotiations will depend on that," he added.
Asked what were the chances of the Palestinians and the Israelis reaching a peace agreement, Zuzul said that "there are chances of a peace agreement being reached, but now it is primarily up to the Palestinian people to choose a new president and new leaders."
"I do not think there is anyone who believes that a solution can be found in any way other than through peace talks," the Croatian foreign minister said.
The funeral was attended by numerous high-level delegations, including heads of state and government, ministers, kings and other dignitaries.
Arafat died at a military hospital outside Paris on Thursday morning at the age of 75. He is due to be buried in Ramallah in the West Bank.
