"There is not one paper which might lead to a discussion on (Zuzul's) resignation," Deputy Prime Minister Andrija Hebrang said after a session of the HDZ National Council, which he added did not address the corruption allegations concerning Zuzul.
Hebrang said nothing could be undertaken given that nothing was proved in Zuzul's case, and that the whole case represented a political battle without arguments.
Asked about the changes in the foreign minister's statements about the allegations, Hebrang said that only facts and documents mattered, and that there was not one fact which would incriminate Zuzul. He added the same conclusion would be reached if Parliament discussed the case.
Asked to comment on President Stjepan Mesic's statement that he would change his campaign strategy for the upcoming presidential elections because of the HDZ, Hebrang said he did not hear about it and was not interested in Mesic's election strategy.
