According to an official statement from the Foreign Ministry, Zuzul said that Croatia-France relations were very good. He said the relations were developing gradually and stressed France's support to Croatia in its bid to join the European Union and NATO.
The French ambassador agreed that the two countries' relations were good and added that France would continue to support Croatia in the process of integrating with Euro-Atlantic institutions. He said that during his term in Croatia he would personally support Croatia's efforts to enter the EU and provide concrete operational support to its negotiating team.
Saint-Paul also stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation in Southeast Europe.
