Glavas reported the threat to the police on Wednesday and the case is being investigated to determine the seriousness of it, the head of the Osijek Police Department's Operational Communications Centre, Branko Horvatin, told Hina.
Glavas confirmed he had received a threatening letter at his home address and said that the letter had been sent from Rijeka on October 25. He said that the letter read: "This is to warn you that we do not want you in our county, particularly not in the Viktor Lenac firm. Take this letter seriously or else we will liquidate you and your family."
Glavas said that the threat did not scare him but surprised him, and that he would not make any further comments on it in public.
"By presenting the problem of (ailing Rijeka shipyard) Viktor Lenac at a parliament session on behalf of the deputies who had proposed this issue for discussion, I only carried out my duties as a party member (...) and at the time I obviously was not aware of a Pandora's box that had been opened by this discussion," Glavas said.
