ZAGREB, Oct 26 (Hina) - The Croatian and Bulgarian police forces have
agreed to cooperate in the solving of the most severe criminal offences, a
faster exchange of information about organised crime and other forms of
cooperation in combating crime on the so-called Balkan route, the Croatian
Interior Ministry, whose delegation returned from an official visit to Belgrade
on Tuesday, said in a statement.Minister Marijan Mlinaric said the visit was successful. He and his
Bulgarian counterpart have agreed some new forms of cooperation which should
contribute to the fight against all forms of crime, notably organised crime,
illegal migrations and people trafficking.
According to Mlinaric, the Bulgarian side was particularly interested in
Croatia's experience in reorganising the border police, in line with European
standards. The Bulgarian officials said Croatia made progress in relation to
Bulgaria and asked Croatian officials to share experience from that process.
