ZAGREB, Oct 23 (Hina) - Several thousand Bosnian Croat Catholics gathered in the medieval royal town of Bobovac near Vares, 30 km north of Sarajevo, to pray for their homeland at a mass said by the primate of the Catholic Church in the country, Cardinal Vinko Puljic.

The mass was celebrated to mark the death of Bosnia's last queen, Katarina Kotromanic Kosaca, who died in Rome on 25 October 1478.

Cardinal Puljic called on the Croat Catholics to remain united but also faithful to Bosnia-Herzegovina. He also called for coexistence, tolerance and unity in the country.

The mass was attended by Croatian Ambassador Josip Vrbosic, Bosnian Presidency member Dragan Covic, employees of the Croat-Muslim entity's defence and interior ministries, and the Croat component of the entity's military.
