According to local media, the remains belong to inmates who were detained at the Serb-held camp Omarska.
It is estimated the mass grave contains the remains of more than 400 people.
Forensics of the Missing Persons Commission of Bosnia's Croat-Muslim entity began excavations on a recently discovered mass grave near Snagovo, a village near Zvornik in eastern Bosnia.
Ten bodies and six incomplete skeletons have been exhumed in the last 24 hours.
The mass grave is believed to contain the remains of a large number of Bosnian Muslims from Srebrenica killed by Serbs in July 1995, said Murat Hurtic, the chief of the Missing Persons Commission office in Tuzla.
