ZAGREB, Oct 20 (Hina) - If the Croatian government decides to callpresidential elections for 21 December this year, it will opt for thefirst time limit envisaged by the Constitution for the arrangement ofpresidential polls, given that the Constitution stipulates thatpresidential elections are held 30 days at the earliest and 60 days atthe latest before the expiry of the presidential term. Croatian Parliament Speaker Vladimir Sekshas said that he has talked with the National Election Commission'shead, Ivica Crnic, on possible dates for the next presidentialelections and that the polls may be organised in January next yearinstead of on 21 December.
