DEFENCE MINISTRY ON F-16 FIGHTER PLANE'S LANDING AT ZEMUNIK

ZAGREB, Oct 13 (Hina) - A US fighter aircraft of the F-16 type, whichtook part in the combined multinational naval exercise AdriaticPhiblex that was held in the central Adriatic, landed unexpectedly atthe airport of Zemunik near the Croatian city of Zadar on Wednesdaymorning, the Croatian Defence Ministry reported later in the day.
ZAGREB, Oct 13 (Hina) - A US fighter aircraft of the F-16 type, which took part in the combined multinational naval exercise Adriatic Phiblex that was held in the central Adriatic, landed unexpectedly at the airport of Zemunik near the Croatian city of Zadar on Wednesday morning, the Croatian Defence Ministry reported later in the day.

The two-day exercise involved Croatia's navy, infantry and air force, Albanian and Macedonian infantry, and the USS SULIVANS destroyer.

The Defence Ministry declined to give any more details about the plane's landing, explaining that an agreement with the US side bound it not to say any more about the event.

The F-16 landed at Zemunik at about 1130 hours Wednesday.
