CENCOOP serves as an important tool for regional consultations and is a relationship between EU and NATO. It promotes regional cooperation as well as safeguarding security-political options for all member states, as it allows exchanges of views with similar security interests, but offers different integration at regional level.
CENCOOP member counties are Austria, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland. The Czech Republic and Ukraine are enjoying the status of Information Partners within CENCOOP.
