ZAGREB, Oct 4 (Hina) - Croatian Defence Minister Berislav Roncevic andEconomy Minister Branko Vukelic signed an instruction on models andconditions for the so called offset programme regulating conditionsfor conclusion of agreements
on arms and military equipmentprocurement from foreign suppliers with an obligation of includingCroatian producers in business deals.
ZAGREB, Oct 4 (Hina) - Croatian Defence Minister Berislav Roncevic
and Economy Minister Branko Vukelic signed an instruction on models and
conditions for the so called offset programme regulating conditions for
conclusion of agreements on arms and military equipment procurement from
foreign suppliers with an obligation of including Croatian producers in
business deals.Ministers Roncevic and Vukelic said that in case of procurement of
equipment, worth more than two million euros, every foreign partner would be
bound to engage Croatian companies in the job.
He added that one of the first concrete projects would be the
procurement of armoured personnel vehicles. The project is worth some 200
million euros, and will be implemented by 2015.
The defence ministry is also planning to buy new trucks which will met
Western standards.
