ZAGREB, Oct 11 (Hina) - Retail turnover decreased by 5.4 percent innominal terms and by 5.5 percent in real terms in August in comparisonto July, while retail turnover at the annual rate in August this yearas against August last year
rose by 5.2 percent in nominal terms andby 3.4 percent in real terms, the Croatian Bureau of Statisticsreported on Monday.
ZAGREB, Oct 11 (Hina) - Retail turnover decreased by 5.4 percent in
nominal terms and by 5.5 percent in real terms in August in comparison to July,
while retail turnover at the annual rate in August this year as against August
last year rose by 5.2 percent in nominal terms and by 3.4 percent in real
terms, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics reported on Monday.Retail turnover in the first eight months this year saw a mild increase
of 4.5 percent in nominal terms and 2.7 percent in real terms in comparison to
the same period 2003.
Retail turnover recorded mainly a mild increase at the monthly rate this
year and all months, except August and January, saw an increase.
A fall in August as against July is ascribed by experts to a fall of 45
percent in retail sale of fruits and vegetables as well as to the fall of 37.2
percent in retail sale of cars.
